It's easier to take pictures of MC because she will actually hold fairly still! G moves and dances around too much, looks away, flaps her arms as if she could fly off at any moment and runs over too fast so she can see the photo that I just took, well that I tried to take because she wouldn't hold still!
So, while G was at preschool this week, I pulled out the camera again and tried some more shots of MC. We can thank Pintrest for the basket idea because I totally stole it!
DJ and I finally got around to purchasing a laptop this week, which I know, this story seems random. But, just wait, it has a point! So, I was playing around taking these photos on my camera, and uploading them onto my MacBook Pro, and I thought I'd play around with the iPhoto option, and I'm glad I did!
I had been using Picnik for basic editing of photos, but it was a pain to upload pictures, edit them, and the re-save them to my desk top. With iPhoto, it does it all for me, and makes it super easy for me to save them, categorize them, and yes, even edit them!
As per recommendation to not shoot in black and white, but later go back and edit to black and white, that is what I did, and will do in the future. The photo above looks so much better than the up-close hands that I posted yesterday.
I love that iPhot let me put this 'frame' around this photo. Here's where I'm going to prove that I am in no way shape or form a photographer, because I'm calling it a 'frame'. That's as fancy as I'm going to get! But, it looks pretty spiffy!
This was originally a wide shot, but I cropped it down a bit to zoom in on MC licking her hands. Her hands are slightly blurry because she was moving them, but it was still too precious to not keep!
This last one is probably my favorite. I used an antique finish, and I think it has a classic touch. I think this one will be framed and placed in MCs room.
I had some great feedback yesterday, so if anyone cares to offer more, I'd love to hear it! DJ would kill me right now if I purchased a photo editing software, because, let's face it, I do have way too many 'hobbies and interest', so in the mean time I'll be exploring iPhoto a bit more often, especially while MC is able to hold fairly still!

These turned out very cute!!:) I love all her hair!! I think the bottom picture is my favorite. If your waiting to buy a camera just keep saving:) This is usually a good time to pick up older models. Also watch Craigslist. Nikon makes some great entry level SLR cameras. I know their D3000 or D3100 is a great camera body. It does come with a great kit lens. After that just invest in some great lenses. My advice just keep doing what you are doing. Practice makes perfect!
